Frequently asked questions
Your child and family’s privacy and wellbeing are central to the way we work. Any information you share is treated sensitively, and we will explain how notes, reports, recordings or shared information are handled before we begin working together. Below you will find many of your questions with answers so you can make an informed choice.
Do we need to know exactly what support we need before contacting you?
No. Many families get in touch because they feel unsure. An initial conversation can help clarify your priorities, what support may be useful, and whether a one-off consultation or a package would be the best fit.
Do you offer remote support?
Yes. Remote sessions can work very well for parent coaching, reviewing routines, discussing reports, setting goals and supporting families who live further away or outside the UK.
Do you work directly with our child?
Yes, where appropriate. Direct intervention usually involves the child and caregiver together, so that strategies can be modelled, practised and carried into daily life.
Can you help with hearing technology questions?
We can help you understand reports, prepare questions for audiology appointments, think about everyday technology use, and consider how access to sound supports listening and spoken language development. We do not replace your audiology or medical team, but we can help you feel more prepared and informed.
What does the service cost?
Please contact us directly to learn more about the packages and discuss your families’ individual needs. Each package is shaped around the needs of your child and family, so fees reflect the type, frequency and level of support agreed.
How do remote calls work and what software do we need?
Remote calls can take place by phone, WhatsApp or Zoom. Remote sessions and meetings are usually held on Zoom, which can be downloaded free of charge to a phone or computer. With your consent, we may use Zoom features to help generate notes, actions and resources from our session. Recordings, if used, are kept only as long as needed to prepare session notes, reports or resources, and are then deleted in line with GDPR requirements.
